Take a Career Quiz to Help You in Your Career Choice

Making a career choice is one of the most important decisions in most people’s lives. The question “how do I find out what is the best job for me right now” is something that many people wrestle with. These are issues that are worth wrestling with, and sometimes taking tests and quizzes can be useful methods in resolving the issue. A good career quiz that can be easily completed online is perhaps the ideal way to take advantage of this method with great ease. The career quiz of career-choice.net is just this kind of quiz. It uses the RIASEC method in assessing the user’s personality and matching it with suitable career options. RIASEC is a method used by psychologists and it stands for “Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional” which are the six personality types in psychologist John Holland’s theory of careers and vocational choice. This type of quiz can be helpful in fulfilling career choice planning needs.

The number of questions in this career choice quiz is sufficient without being overwhelming. One really small but significant improvement in usability is that this quiz shows two questions per page, which will reduce the number of “next” clicks. The questions are multiple choice type questions and they are quite fun to answer. Some of them are “brain teaser” type questions and others are aimed at finding out the user’s personality via answers to various real life scenarios. Typically the questions have four answer options, which is much better than the kind of “yes or no” questions that may be used in some other tests. When I took the test, there were only few cases where I found the answer options a bit inadequate (which happens quite inevitably to some extent in quizzes of this type – luckily only to a small extent in this one). Overall, I enjoyed taking this quiz and might recommend it to a friend who wants to clarify career choice issues.
